Lorene Machado - Director
Lorene
directed, produced and edited Margaret Cho's "Notorious C.H.O."
concert film. She also produced Margaret Cho's first concert film,
"I'm the One That I Want." Machado previously produced
and directed for ABC News' "Life 360." She also worked
on many other television projects, including: "Best Kept Secrets"
(Story Producer), "World's Wildest Police Videos" (Writer),
"Robotica (Story Producer), "Mission Mars" (Segment
Producer / Writer), "A Salute to America's Pets" (Associate
Producer) and "The Infinite Voyage." Before her bottomless
descent into reality television, Machado was the Coordinating Producer
on the "Bob Hope Specials" on NBC for several seasons.
Machado is currently directing and producing two more films with
Margaret Cho: a road documentary tentatively titled "Belle
De Tour" and a concert film of Cho's new live show, "Revolution." |

Eve Buigues - "Sophie" and Music
Eve
is better known as half of the LA based band, Jariya. As lead singer,
songwriter, arranger, producer and keyboardist for Jariya she plays
in LA clubs frequently and has recently written, performed and produced
music for Margaret Cho's "Notorious C.H.O". Jariya also
composed and produced all of the music for "Starcrossed".
This is Eve's first role in a film. |
Kari Camelio- "Ginger"
Making
her film debut in "Starcrossed", Kari Camelio is best
known for her work in the music industry. As manager of Record One
recording studio, she has assisted in the creation of countless
records for some of the biggest performers in music. She embarked
on a new adventure last year returning to college to obtain her
degree in veterinary medicine. |

Plume Buigues - "Danielle" and Light Design
A
veteran to stage and screen productions, Plume has worked in theater,
onstage and behind the scenes in Los Angeles and Europe. An accomplished
light designer, Plume's work has been seen in too many stage productions
in Los Angeles to count and she can be found most of the time running
lights for the premier teen news show, "Channel One". |
Mark Vasconcellos- "Mark Rose" and Camera
Mark's
stage and screen credits include roles in Hitmen, The Bold and The
Beautiful, General Hospital, Sisters, Totally Hidden Video and The
Bob Hope Christmas Special. He has studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory
and with Arthur Mendoza. Mark is also an accomplished cameraman
and spent half of his time working on "Starcrossed" behind
the camera. |

Jack Stahlman- "Todd" and Sound
Born
and raised in Minnesota, Jack graduated cum laude from DePauw
University in Indiana. After training professionally in Chicago
at Steppenwolf Theatre and The Second City, Jack headed west hearing
there was a shortage of actors in the greater Los Angeles area.
Shortly after his arrival in LA in September 2002, Starcrossed
producers were in dire need of an actor to play a gay man. Seeing
as there is also a shortage of gay men in Hollywood and West Hollywood,
the allegedly straight Jack was the next best thing. Since coming
to LA, Jack has acted in three student films and he has dabbled
in the soap opera genre working on Days of Our Lives. Jack also
works in the production end of the business they call show, assisting
in the latest of Margaret Cho’s live concerts, Cho Revolution.

Ellen Forney- "Kari"
Ellen
is a Seattle-based cartoonist, whose artwork appears in LA
Weekly, BUST Magazine, The Stranger, and other publications. Excited
to even have a tiny role, this is Ellen's first film appearance.

Andrea Bensmiller- "Andrea", Boom, Music, and Webdesign
Andrea,
along with Eve is half of the LA based band, Jariya, and she can
be found most of the time behind a guitar and a soundboard working
on live and studio music projects for Jariya and its sister-project
studio, Flyderbee Music. This is Andrea's first film role. In addition
to helping out with sound, Andrea designed the "Starcrossed"
website and with the other members of Jariya, composed, produced
and performed all of its music.

Kirk Miller - Director of Photography
Kirk
has been behind the camera for over ten years. Recent Director
of Photography credits include "Notorious C.H.O.," "Survival
Skills," a half-hour comedy pilot, and the Emmy-winning documentary
special "Inside the Experience Music Project." He also
plugged in the lights for the feature "The Business of Fancydancing"
which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year.

Ran Barker - Assistant Director
RAN
grew up on his families Farm/Ranch in West Texas. He Graduated from
Tarleton State University/Texas A&M and moved to Los Angeles
in 1989 to pursue an acting career. He studied film at UCLA and
AFI and appeared in over 100 national commercials, feature films
and TV series before joining Warner Bros. in 1989 to become Department
head of Corporate Services for 6 years before becoming Administrator
of TV in 1994, working with ER, FRIENDS, LIVING SINGLE, SUDDENLY
SUSAN, & 30 other shows. In 1997, he went to work with JOHN
WELLS PRODUCTIONS and worked With the productions of ER, TRINITY,
WEST WING, ADVERSARIES & THIRD WATCH. He left JWP in 1999 to
do indie films such as "Border to Border", "GAME
DAY", "FUGLY" and "I'M THE ONE THAT I WANT",
"APPLE JACK", "PUZZLED" and "NOTORIOUS
C.H.O." and “STARCROSSED”. His projects have won
several film festivals including Best Comedy-NY INT’L FILM
FESTIVAL, Best Film--LAS VEGAS INT’L FILM FESTIVAL and Top
10 finalist in Project Greenlight. He is currently working on the
new MARGARET CHO concert Film to be Shot in May 2003.
